More good winter temperatures in Hakuba. For the 24 hours to 7am on 14 Jan, minimum temp –11C, max –2C at my weather station at 860m asl. Yesterday’s very strong winds in the valley have abated. No new snow to report, although some will have fallen and been blown heavily in the alpine. We will go for a careful look at the backcountry conditions today.
