Field Observations:
From 2200m behind Tsugaike, in teh clouds all day with cold temps. We had 30-40cm of very loose, light and dry powder. It was great. Skied 1200m vertical for a proper powder day.
The unconsolidated storm snow was cracking in places and had not bonded well with the crust with sluff on steeper slopes and one size 1.5 skier triggered avalanche on a specific convex roll. It had propagated about 50m across in the 30cm of soft storm snow.
